So in a matter of weeks we have lost our best 2 players that have a future in or just above this level and everyone is fine with this?

I was talking about Ferry/Flint but add them 2 to the list as im sure if a good enough offer came in for either Fods or Nate they would be gone.

'League One club in selling players for decent money shock'. Fuck me, why is it so hard for some people to grasp?

Yes, that is correct. Have you missed the last few weeks of discussions about budget cuts and the need to sell and release players or risk financial insolvency?

Have we?

Do you actually think that Flint was one of our best two players, I'm assuming that Ferry was the other.

Personally I would say that Wes is better than both of them.

Flint did a good job for us, particularly along side Ward, but did have a tendency to be reckless (hence getting sent off twice this past season) and don't forget the Mackem Messiah didn't pick him much either.

yes even though we was top of the league challenging for promotion and now seem resigned to seeing our club again fall like a rock, no wonder we have clowns come in a run this club because we have "supporters" who like to settle for nothing.

I live 5 minutes from the ground so yes its all i hear about, having seen this happen before in the past and seen what happens as a result(Relegation) i don't see how anyone can accept this. We need investment and from what i can see we won't be getting any of that. Will this money be used to get a replacement? i don't think so.

Where is this investment going to come from? Do you really think there are millionaires queuing up to take over Black's job of pouring money into a club they don't care about? The club was being run in a manner that meant we were always going to face this at some point, it's just the timing was perfect to derail our season.

Yeovil achieved promotion with a budget that is reportedly half of what we are hoping to reduce ours to - I don't see how we're nailed on for relegation because we're trying to run the club in a manner that isn't indulgent.

Flint is meh. Devera is a bigger loss.

Flint missed a lot of games up until February and nobody was really that bothered... Were they?

He was just getting in to the swing of things at Town which is always the case.

No, because there was a more than adequate replacement in Devera.  However he's gone now as well.

good fee...  time will tell if it is good business when we see how good/bad/threadbare our squad is. Binning off players is one thing, but it's essential we still have strength and depth or we'll struggle.

This totally.

£350k for Flint - I like Flint. I'm sad he's gone. TAH will take over.

Couldn't afford Devera. I liked him. I wish we could have kept him. Still, we have McEveley or TAH to cover the two positions he plays.

Players come and go. STFC is still here.

I like the way a departing player is always slagged off as he leaves.

Like Herthab says.....realism,Flint has plenty of it and knows what many dont want to admit to.

That being the club at present is a complete an utter shambles.

To be fair, it is City. Oooooh Aiden Flint, he used to play for Swindon he's a wanker now Wink
