If someone had said at the end of last season that Caddis was off, and would be replaced by Nathan Thompson (for a large part of the season), and that he would be voted player of the season by the fans they would have been roundly abused by most on here.

I always think that if you have to sell, then right backs and goalkeepers, are the best way forward, tend to be easier to replace than centre halves, centre mids, or strikers.

Wouldn't the board just pocket the cash, if they don't they haven't sussed this asset stripping business!

Pocketing the cash is illegal...paying yourselves out of the business's funds is not. It helps if the business has funds.

He isn't though, Caddis is the better player but that's not how it works.

Presumably Thompson is  the same as Flint , i.e. u23 so we just get compo if he doesn't sign a contract.
