Is that relevant?

I'd have gladly swapped Pericard, Dossevi and Benyon for a broom handle, let alone a goal scorer...

That whole team was a complete shower with a few exceptions, had we signed ALF and his goals managed to keep us up, we could still have Wilson or Hart here.

I think that's very unfair on Donaldson, he was excellent when Brentford beat us 1-0 at the County Ground earlier this season. Proper target man with all the hold up play that comes with it.

You might be right about Donaldson. I probably didn't pay him very much attention during the match as i was so frustrated at all the hoof-ball from our lot. Remember that being a game where Brentford offered absolutely no attacking threat whatsoever but still scored, so he went down in my mind as a one chance, one goal, does nothing else merchant.

We should have (tried!) To sign ALF after we sold Cox, after we lost Paynter and after we sold Austin (was he still in L2 then?)

Elliot fucking Benyon and Vincent fucking Pericard, indeed....

Didn't he have a [insert stupid figure here for League 2] minimum release clause though at the time?

I think Donaldson is alright. The way Brentford set up that game meant he spent most of the game on the wing up against Nath. Nath did as well as he could but not too surprising he managed to hold the ball up.

Think he'd set his sights higher than us and League One and was prepared to see out the last year on his contract if the right move didn't come along. Hence why they sold him pretty cheaply, under £400k I think. No way in hell he'd have come here.

If we get mega rich Italian owners with a penchant for signings above our station, and from Italy...  I would love it,  love it if we sign a Genoa striker with a superb name:  Ciro Immobile. A stupendous name, up there with another personal favourite, ex-QPR defender Anton Dick.

It wouldn't surprise me if they think we're in financial trouble so can launch a ridiculous bid of no more than we paid.
I can't see it would be a good move for him at this stage - he's still got a lot to learn and is likely to be in a better place to do at Swindon right now.

If we are to do a deal it should involve Cassidy.
Straight swap as the upfront fee with us then getting add ons for appearances, goals, promotion and international caps plus a sell on (on both players) would do it for me.
Amazing how this useless lump has been scouted by clubs in the Championship an Premiership!

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Wolves should pay us money, and provide us with Cassidy in exchange for Collins.  What the fuck?

Cox has joined Northampton on loan for 3 months I think.
