Without Flint and Troy the squad would be looking ludicrously thin at the back. Who's that youth defender who's quite rated?

Can't see Flint going unless replacements are lined up.
Aaron Oakley....who in the game with Liverpool looked very poor IMO and certainly nowhere near the first team yet.

Port Vale fans are claiming we already have a Flint replacement lined up and that he is close to signing.

They are announcing a signing during half time at their match today, which you would thought would only be for a marquee signing, just seriously hope it's not Flint as he is still a decent player who can grow with the club.

Fucking hell they will be disappointed if Aden Flint was the marquee signig

Flint has done a pretty good job for us but he is now down the pecking order. If we can a decent price for him then I'd let him go. Ward and Devera look absolutely superb in the middle. I also think Troy will come good.

Isn't Flint out of contract at the end of the season? - in which case it's unlikely we'd get much of a fee for him in any case

Not fussed either way about Flint. Have we really missed him since he's been out? He's a decent player but i'm not sure he can cut it at the level above and that's what we are aiming for.

Not too sure about Alan Mc either.  He's struggled at CB at times this season and as others have pointed out we've done far better defensively when he's not been in the CB pairing.  It will be interesting to see what happens when McEveley returns, maybe Di Canio will move him back to midfield?

Would rather have Flint as a backup over TAH anyday. But i guess we're kind of stuck with TAH having blown £200,000 on him  Doh

I think Troy has a load of potential hes just had a poor start to his Swindon career, I hope he comes good for us.

I think he will be a much better player than Flint will be.

I think TAH has looked more than good enough when played in defence. He just seems to be carrying the can for the Macclesfield game, which is hardly his fault.

We have definitely not seen the best of him.  There was a reason he cost us all that ££ at the tribunal (other than the tribunal panel being dicks).  If we did offload, I am certain we would regret it later.
