The players were due to go back tomorrow, they are now going back for pre-season on Wednesday. Probably due to not wanting to cause ruction with those leaving ect. Almost certain there will be some movement regarding players going out before then.

There's nothing about Owen Garven on here http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=202849&page=5 although there are pages and pages of transfer stuff on there so I may have missed it. Ipswich fans are none too complimentary about him, not that that would bother me (if the rumour turned out to be true) after the Charlton fans' character assassination of Alan McCormack last year.

Not suprised Di Canio is trying to overhaul the centre midfield. Was the weakest area of the team last season IMO (bar Ferry) I have no problems with Di Canio chopping and changing that area, if the Garvan rumour is true and we rid of Risser, Smith & Cox then our centre midfield will be strong enough to compete at this level. That is of course if Ferry isnt going, would be gutted if he left.

Garvan, Ferry, Miller, Navarro. Would more than suffice for a choice of CM's. Personally i'd keep Smith too, had a great first half of the season last year then faded, I reckon he can up it another level and be comfortable in League One.

after the Charlton fans' character assassination of Alan McCormack last year.

McCormack was my POTY, but in fairness to the Charlton fans I don't know if he's any good in midfield!

They swapped Clarke for Benson and gave us McCormack. I'd think that the club itself is a bit scatty if they hadn't just pissed league 1.

Our new CB? As mentioned previously elsewhere by someone ...

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11719/7842227/Robins-plot-Grecians-swoop

Sky Sports understands that Exeter centre-back Troy Archibald-Henville is set to sign for League One new boys Swindon.

The 23-year-old defender has spent the last two years competing in the third tier with the Grecians, having previously spent time with the club on loan.

His contract at St James Park expired at the end of the 2011/12 campaign and he is yet to agree fresh terms.

Swindon are now understood to be keen on offering him the chance to remain at his current level.

Paolo Di Canio has been given licence to bring fresh faces into his Robins squad, and he considers Archibald-Henville to be a useful addition.

The former Tottenham trainee would command a transfer fee, as he is under the age of 24, but Swindon have made it clear that they are prepared to spend if required.

I remember when FourFourTwo did an interview with Garvan in the feature they used to do called '' The boys a bit special". Come to think of it young Alan Young also featured once in that aswell.

Somebody tweeted that BBC wilts said Bostock should sign this week.

I'd given up on us signing him.

It'll be difficult to keep four centre backs, all of whom are league one material, content. Does anybody know how he compares to Flint? I thought we'd see McEveley or Cibo fill in if we we're short in the middle.

For me Flint isn't League 1 standard. That is my opinion.

I went to school with Alan Young. I didn't think he was anything special then. From what I heard he was only in and around the first team as he had his head up Andy King's ass.
