Yep he is
From the DR Stand in the season opener v Crewe, I recall Powell playing more as a left sided midfielder, playing some very intelligent passes on the counterattack for Alex and linking dangerously to get into scoring positions himself. He looked to have an excellent brain (if less pace than BB) and I had no idea he was just 17 or so.

Seriously, how can a professional football player who is paid handsomely able to get into that condition? To quote the great man: "Unbelievable Jeff"

If rumours (from creditable journos - Hayward, Kay, Winter et al) are to be believed, Redknapp is about to be sacked by Levy, which may well scupper any Bostock deal.

RS said this morning we will have one of the largest playing budgets in Div. 1 at £4 million!! Does that mean all our players are now on £15,000 a week instead of £10,000!! Although the Adver is running a story that PDC refused to sign a player recently because of the cost??

Good shout, if Harry is gone i dont see us getting bostock for preseason which may push PDC to other targets i guess.
Think RS are recycling rumour and conjecture there myself, and £4m isnt that big is it?

For this league, yes it is pretty big, one of the biggest I am certain. The only team that could get close to that budget is probably Bournemouth and their backers have gone cold on them a little of late after the dressing room debacle. Possibly Preston and MKD as well but thats more playing budget and not transfer budget. Coventry, Doncaster, Pompey and Sheff Utd all have financial problems so won't have a budget like ours, until their new respective backers are in place anyway witht he exception of Sheff utd who are in trouble after overspending last season in their failed attempt to get promotion last season.

Our average attendance last season would have been the 7th biggest in League 1, so you would expect us to be at the top end of the wage budget scale in the league this year. I don’t really see it as a shock or big news.

Isnt our turnover only about £4m from the set of accounts that were published not so long ago?
