So di Canio chased Rooney confident in the knowledge that we were going up, and confident in the knowledge that Rooney wasn't good enough. Bloody hell, the evidence of my own eyes tells me that's crap.
Not necessarily sound logic Donkey. He thought Magera, Lanzano, Gabilondo, Clarke, Esajes, the hard looking but slow Italian defender and the guy who went to Fairford were also good enough. Nothing would surprise me at the PDC circus. (But I think its crap too)

Exeter fan I know says they're after Rooney as PDC "allegedly" reckons he can't step up to league one. No doubt complete BS but, hey, that's what this thread is all about right?
They are fucking deluded in Devon I guess, it wasn't that many weeks ago when a Torquay fan on their own forum claimed that we were going to implode and just make the play-offs whilst they would go on and be champions!! Err, I don't think that worked out like that!!

Interesting tweet from Eunan O'Kane.
Just arrived in Bristol to have a meeting with the gaffer tomorrow! Surely could have been done on the fone..... When I say gaffer yes I do mean Mr Ling! Everyone has to see him so am sure its nothing to interesting!
Wonder what that's all about !

I know it's silly season and we're (supposedly) interested in O'Kane. But it'd be scraping the barrel a bit to be poking into other club's team meetings.

Turkey fans seem to think that we aren't good enough for O'Kane. I do hope it isn't Swindon though, he's better than that.
Didn't get a chance to read the article in the WMN today but I saw the headline at work, pretty certain he'll be gone now. Like others, I hope it is to a team better than Swindon. Somewhere like Crystal Palace, where he'll be given opportunities.

Also I see that a fee has been agreed with Creepy and Lewis Grabban who has been linked to us in the past, Evans looking after his old club. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7768976/

That's a standard reaction from fans when one of their better players is about to leave...have a dig at the slightly bigger club the player may be moving to. I've seen that plenty of times on here. And perhaps they have a point? Who can tell? I'd say he would be an achieveable target if we are able to convey the message that we expect to be challenging again next season. We would probably be an attractive enough proposition to a player at his level if he thought he had a decent shout of getting regular games in a successful League 1 side, and possibly (just possibly) in the Championship within a few years.

I agree totally, and yes they may have a point that it may not be a good move, no one knows until it happens or not but I personally do think that we are a "going places" club at the moment so should be able to attract players that are probably better than O'Kane, as he has never played outside of League 2 so he may not be able to hack it at a higher level.

Possibly a player like Lee Cook from QPR who has just been freed, would be good but is similar to Ritchie/Rooney and would cost large wages.

But does O'Kane fit with PdC's statement of wanting players with more physical presence and experience of at least League 1.
Looks a bit lightweight to me

Some Peterborough Twitter account just tweeted about us signing Nicky Ajose off of them. It has since been promptly deleted. Hmmmmm.

A mate of mine is a season ticket holder at Cardiff and says Jon Parkin has been made available but we will probably get scared off by his wages rumoured to be around £9k per week. Parkin has been told he can leave for a small fee as Cardiff want him off the wage bill.
He is the sort of massive striker PdC has been after, not sure he could play alongside Benson though.
