I have a feeling the squad is pretty much done.
I don't if any outs will be replaced, or whenever it'll just be squad size reduction
Wants and gets are 2 totally different things.

It still wouldn’t surprise if Smith left as he didn’t look happy yesterday.

In isolation Westley is a good signing, but I’m not convinced he is at the expense of other positions we are lacking in (wingers, right back, centre back) and not if he is one of seven strikers all of whom will demand game time.

Watching him all game I didnt notice any difference in him and his demeanor TBH mate, he was just carrying an injury. He doesnt want to leave and Ollie doesnt want him to leave.

Expect Westley to sign, then that's it with a few fairly obvious outgoings. Yesterday, nobody played well, so don't judge the squad based on one game, Ollie will sort it out, or it's sayonara.

Fair points you make but still wouldn’t surprise me if Cambridge came back with a much improved offer and the wizard of Oz accepts it.

Per Ollie, suffers from unpredictable back spasms with one occurring during the warm up, at the time I was hoping that he didn't start with speed and guile isolating Flint, a day for a False No. 9? I hope that Ollie pulls a Wimbledon (h) several times this season, playing Harry at centre-half.

In some ways I'd applaud him leaving then publicly saying the behaviour of that section of our fans yesterday was the reason he wanted to leave. Shame the pricks.

Whenever Smith is having a tough game he can lose his head. Probably why he's at this level despite all the qualities he showed in abundance last season.
What was Snowdon like in pre-season? Is he a capable RWB who just froze on debut yesterday or is he a weak link that leaves us wide open/praying for a 40+ game season from a 19 year old?

Played well in pre-season but the opposition was of such poor quality, how on earth can you tell if they're up to League 2 standard. Judging him purely on yesterday, he wasn't great defensively. He is actually a midfielder isn't he, not a full back? No way he can go the whole season with just him and McGregor as our RWB's. Questions have to be asked about that pre-season.

For wing backs in particular, you need a totally different skillset when you're on top vs when it's an even game or even more in favour of the opposition. However, yesterday we had tons of possession and they still didn't look outstanding - that said, both were on League debut and there's a long way to go yet. Anyone can have a bad game, just have to hope that's all it was. Under Wellens (and Power) we had a league 1 budget in L2.
Thats a major difference.
Officially according to Clem (and I suspect, without taking into account inflation) last year's budget was bigger than the Wellens seasons.

My concern is whether Holloway has sacrificed having out and out wingers in the squad because he wanted to renew deals for Drinan, Nichols and Glatzel, and his insistence that the wingbacks are supposed to be our wide attacking threat. Based on only 1 sample size I know, but our wingbacks did not provide that wide attacking threat enough yesterday and Drinan and Glatzel fluffed their opportunities in front of goal and Nichols did very little. So if our wingbacks are not getting past our forwards and 3 out of our 4 forwards are not threatening the goal, it could result in more games like yesterday as the season goes on.
We have to trust that Ollie can see this and will address it.
