I know it's a bit of a cliche
But don't some of you think you should wait until ALL of the signings are announced before deciding they aren't good enough?
Think its a case of being told to wait for signings etc as they want to announce players that capture the fans imagination and get fans excited and to find we are getting an ill disciplined player from York City and a player from a club that avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth to the conference hardly injects feelings of great enthusiasm.

My thoughts exactly
Thought this... seems to be a rift between the club and Douglas for sure.

Agreed.
I'd much rather we sign younger players who are up for the challenge, than older players at the end of their career who are coming for one last pay-day.
The only recent example I can think of where experience worked in our favour was Adi Williams. I wouldn't begrudge another signing like that, but I certainly wouldn't want us to sign 4 or 5 of his age/experience, because for every 1 Adi Williams there's about 10 Gareth Whalley's.
What about Ian Culverhouse - 30 when we signed him, and went on to be a fantastic player for us.

I think you get good and bad experience players, same like you get good and bad young players. There's pro's and con's for both ends of the argument I suppose.

Looks as if Mr Rose is reading these forums ... Negotiations still ongoing with Jonathan Douglas, seems there is a good chance he will stay

It was this quote last week that built up expectations. “So there might be one or two squad players coming in and there might be one or two names coming in, but what do the fans want to hear first? They want to hear the names rather than another squad player coming in." TOWN chief executive Nick Watkins is confident Paolo Di Canio's first signing for the club will be one that will capture the imagination of the fans, but has called for patience as supporters await

Can you not even wait for any comment on these signings? It seem blatantly obvious to me that there has just been a delay on one, as Gary Rose has also suggested. Get a grip. ........................... No, I change my mind, don't get a grip. Meltdowns are all so entertaining.

How about everyone's being so pathetic about it all they just decide to announce some signings to ease the whinging? I for one am going to wait until about December time before I consider getting my knickers in a twist.
