Well at least the barrel scraping signings look fairly decent so that's lucky I guess

They do look decent, but if we’ve had to agree to an enormous sell on % to get them in as opposed to some nominal fee and smaller sell on % then they’ll need to be Ali Al-Hamadi transfer fee levels of good for us to properly benefit financially off any sale which is where the buy cheap, polish and sell on model begins to crack.

Under the circumstances though, they look like good pickups

At least we now know that Young and Kemp are definitely out of budget and we were never going to sign them regardless

Thinking further we must of got Bycroft and Graztle on frees (presumably with hefty sell on %s)

Having read the judgement in full. I would say that we have actually got off lightly with this.

The result could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Mistakes were made by Clem, he admits that. He wasn’t in a position to discuss anything regarding the case until the findings were published. He’s damned if he doesn’t follow the rules and he’s damned if he does. His legal team would have made it very clear that he must say nothing and follow the no comment route.

If they gave us a harsh punishment for the late payments, then every club would be liable for prosecution. You can’t tell me that we are the only ones doing this.

Regarding transfer windows, the panel knows damn well that a club needs to move players in and out to survive. If we were declared bankrupt in the future, there could be a case to say that the club did all it could but the EFL were complicit in our downfall. That would open a whole new bag of worms.

They had to be seen to do something, Clem accepted that. Believe me, as I said above, they could have screwed us, but haven’t.

Accept the outcome gracefully, and move on.

I mean, he could have not lied to us that Bradford and MK wanted too much money, money for the January window, etc, etc.

I think people need to stop focussing on ‘lies’. They aren’t the real issues - as sometimes in business then people are ‘opaque’ (ie It’s trues that MK and BCFC wanted too much - 1p is more than we could pay). The issue is that there are ‘unsavoury’ characters at the heart of the club.

indeed, the lies are annoying, but they rarely actually impact anything.  It's what they have done, are doing and will do that matters - and thus far the evidence is suggesting nothing better than incompetent shit.

Yeah but they'll just deny that's even true won't they or just say reformed blah blah. They've already answered it.

Unless there's a smoking gun like someone gets a real look at every outgoing at the club and you see Adam Harts company is getting a stupid amount of money every month, we've got nothing.

Interesting that the new signings contracts run out in the summer, we do have options to extend them though.

Again, to me, these short term contracts are indicative of selling up and not foisting players/managers on any new owner.

Limp through to the end of the season.

He does seem quite a handy player, excited to see him on Saturday.
