Angol was the striker that Flynn was after, but started and scored on the weekend.

Does anyone else find it strange that:
  a) A strike that was deemed surplus enough to put a bid in for scores a single consolation goal in the FA Cup and that rules him out of a loan deal.
  b) Our policy is now to recruit same league castoffs in the hope the parent club is wrong.

The *plan* was a Sutton United castoff in Angol, where the hell are we headed.

McCarthy sounds more like it. We'll see

Would have been funny to see the reaction (including my own) to us signing a player on loan from Sutton who has 2 goals this season

…we once paid money for a striker who had scored 4 in 40 the previous season for Northampton!

So, there is a chance it can go the other way…

CB from Barnsley, not played a whole load this season it looks but seems a tall CB so that’s a start

Barnsley. Been out for a while injured. Seems a good pedigree.

Now, I understand the moaning about the quality, or lack thereof, of any replacements but I’m looking at it as temporary stop gaps until we’re sold!

Who is the McArthey lad
Tall 25 year old CB not played too many games in the league due to injury, suffered a bad UCL injury early last season just back to fitness.

Apparently very good in the air and 6 foot 3.

FWIW even if Clem was desperate to sell I don’t think there is a single person in the universe who would be interested in buying us…

Even more so with the court case still ongoing.
