Still to play an A-League game for Brisbane, Ince has yet to finalise his future, and has remained in the UK for a second trial with Brentford B, once the domain of Western Sydney Wanderers’ Lachlan Brook.
Sounds like "one for the future" then

One for the future that we’ll eventually sign on loan from Brentford to get him up to scratch for them

Hearing Clayton is on his way out soon
If we lost Clayton six months ago I'd have been upset as I think he'll go on to have a good career. The club is so fucked right now I genuinely don't care about losing any of them. Its a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things. Still I'm sure Hollie Kiley will get a nice new handbag or something.

Austin isn't the reason for our dire situation ffs.
This. He might be shot now but that is neither here nor there.

I mean, obviously. It's not his fault we don't use him correctly and it's not his fault we are paying him what we do.
But ask yourself, is his contribution worth £3500 a week? which according to many online sources and Football Manager is approx what he's on.
We could get 3 bodies in for that. Not great bodies but professionals none the less.
Our budget is laughable even without spending that on Austin. This is hardly a Razor Ruddock situation.

The rumours that he hadnt settled were based on the fact he went back to Liverpool during the off season.
So, whilst some fans take that as he hasn’t settled and wants to leave I take it as a 22 year old whose probably never lived away from home going back home to his friends & family during his annual leave.
The rumours arent based upon that at all. The rumours are based upon him actually not settling in Swindon, that was from the horses mouth. Cain was brought in to help him settle.

I said this on another thread, I cannot see us signing more than 5 players. As much as we need it, signing more in a January window is almost unheard of.
Think it's a case of steady the ship til the summer.

Sure, we spent money on another player purely to keep another one happy. Seems a sound, likely transfer strategy.

Well we are -3 so far on a squad that was already 3-4 short, even if you didn't want to replace half of them.

We had interest in Cain from the summer window prior to him joining but couldn’t get a deal done, I assume it was just coincidence that he might help Clayton a bit. Fwiw though I also heard a rumour that Clayton didn’t like it in Swindon and it was before he went back to Liverpool for the summer
