How many times has Kennedy played compared to Sheehan, you cant compare the two on that basis.  He has played under what 5 or 6 managers who have never seen him as a first choice or even second choice left back in most cases.

But presumably each has seen enough not to get rid of him (permanently).

Thats true, But as with most clubs there are a few squad players who linger at clubs.

While im not saying kennedy is rubbish or anything like that, im just disputing the fact he is better than Sheehan.

Sheehan would be decent in league 2.

The issue I have is that on two occasions he has as good as proven he doesn't want to be here or play for us if he can avoid it.

Occasion 1 - He left assuming he'd find another club and no-one wanted him therefore ended up back here.  Good old Swindon, always an option to fall back on.
Occasion 2 - Buggered off on trial at the first opportunity - had that worked out he would have been long gone

He keeps banging on about there being more to it but what more to it can there be?  Bodin loves this club therefore I don't see why he would come out and be so vocal about Sheehan not playing for us again if he hadn't behaved like an idiot.

On that basis, I'm not sure I'd want him around next sesaon.

We've already got Kennedy who is a better left back than Sheehan.

Sheehan is a decent left back, last season he was poor but so was 90% of our squad, previous season he was one of our more consistent players.

If we are planning on Kennedy next season then we will be weak down the left because Kennedy is not at Sheehan's level yet.  Still at least it will give the fans a new player to start having a go at.

In a good side, Sheehan will be good. However I guess you could say that about alot of players.

At least Kennedy will give 100%. Any player who does that doesn't deserve to be had a go at. Sheehan is better obviously but his attitude stinks. The question is who would you rather have playing for your team?

Exactly why I hope he's fucked off. If Bodin is giving Di Canio the low-down then I hope he tells him about his "i'm not coming in for training today, I've got a trial" antics.

Don't get me wrong, I would prefer an alternative, but as far a ability goes, he is the best left back we have at the club at the moment.

Agreed however he thought he was too good to play for us last season. I can't really see that attitude changing given our current league status.

A league one player with a non-league attitude. I'm out!

Amazing to think we could be looking for a left back after the number we had here last season!

Keep Sheehan- no thanks. The only reason he would want to stay is if nothing better comes up- ala last season when he said he was good enough for the CCC.

I believe at one point last season we had enough left backs to play one in every position and fill the bench 12 times over. Fuck knows where they've all gone! (But thank fuck they have, because I saw no left back last season worthy of the football league.)
