Well flynn said the captain decision was waiting on a potential incoming. It could have fallen through or there may still be an experienced player to come.

I wonder if Austin was expecting to be named captain.

If, and it is a very big if, we signed Edwards and Doidge, it would turn out to be a very very good window.

I think people need to forget Edwards. Nixon was the one who linked him and when last mentioned he said it was down to 4/10. If it was ever a thing. We know nixon peddles made up stories.

Just watched Flynn on official site who says he wants 2 or 3 more in. He considers he currently has 21 pros with 3 injuries.

But we have 6 cbs now right? Unless he loans minturn out.

So 3 is maybe a gk, a 6th midfielder to make it 2 bodies per position, and then that ominous number 9 vacancy.

So I suspect the midfielder is the experienced one he is working on, and he eyes as maybe the captain.

Christian Doidge…

He played and scored for Hibs in Europe last night. Wolacott also played but came off injured after 18 minutes.

the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

I have a gut feeling we will see Minturn or Clayton leave, if the latters injury is the 6 weeks and not 12 then a move back up north maybe

And Wollacott only started because their keeper got injured in the warm up.

Paperwork difficulties.

Are you being told it’ll still likely happen?

How the hell can we sign an inexperienced 18 year old and put him ahead of Minturn. What sort of message does that give to our youth teamers.

Maybe they don’t rate Minturn?

The message to get better? Minturn doesn't deserve to play just because he came through our youth set up. It's about quality on the pitch, always has been, always will be.

It is possible they just think Ward is better than Minturn, and they’d rather have him in the team.
