I used to work for an insurance company and they showed us the marketing campaign videos just before they were released.
I remember them showing us the new marketing campaign a few years ago and we all thought that it was cringeworthy and going to be a disaster, how wrong could we have been as the Meerkat’s were born.
On that basis I’m not going to criticise the latest announcements, but just say “not for me” marketing is fascinating. Sure most departments seem full of people who like colouring in and probably shove crayons up their nose in their lunch hour. But every Christmas when I get Ferraro Rocher the ambassador's party gets a mention! A bonus point for anyone who knows the famous deceased celebrity that can't up with "Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water"

I feel the same, but they’re not aimed at us really are they.
Are they aimed at the man-children that respond to admin repeatedly asking for signings?

Weirdly they are not even aimed at our own fans. It is all about reach and getting noticed etc. When selling them selves to sponsors they can say for example we will have your ad on our website that will have around x amount of views a month

Yeah I know it's pretty much about marketing. The thing about signing announcements is that you aren't ever going to please everyone. I applaud the new admin guy for making an effort to do something different. For me they raised a smile but at the back of my mind they were quite cringey, but no real harm done. The article on the website could do with some work mind you! "The versatile defender also had a brief spell with Accrington Stanley during the 20/21 campaign, where he'd go onto make 21 appearances in League One. Standing 6ft tall, Uwakwe can play a variety of positions having played as a left-sided player and also on the right side of midfield, in the Tariq Uwakwe becomes Town's sixth signing of the season, joining Murphy Mahoney, Dan Kemp, Liam Kinsella, Jake Young and Udoka Godwin-Malife."

All about engagements/impressions/hits end of day and this admin is raking them in. Doing a great job with content also, put more out in 2 weeks than the last admin - (he was trolling the fanbase at the end of his tenure anyway). All that stuff helps with the Twitterati’s tone on socials imo.
As for Uwakwe, seen mixed reviews for him from Crewe. Time will tell but he’s got some experience, versatile and is left sided. Get the feeling it’s gonna be a pretty attacking side this season.
4 more needed imo. GK, brick Shithouse CB, cover at right back and a centre mid with abit of height.
It’s taken way too long and been slow, but it’s not the worst position to be in at all with 3 or so weeks to go in the window.

Was predator really a black man then? Missed that twist. yeah. he actually was. Kevin Peter Hall. The hair, but I'm sure you knew that. I've become my granddad. While I think I just apply the C scale to people of all walks, I think I've failed to keep up with what is socially acceptable to say. I'm totally confused over gender stuff, so I just avoid it if possible and call people whatever they want to be called. unless they are top the C scale. it gets interesting in sport though... anyway rumours...
