Based on the news today regarding the injuries our only fit CB's going into the season are Minturn and Brewitt.

Obviously that is going to change but goes to show how wafer thin (said in a French accent) the current squad is.

Speaking of french accents and CB injuries, reckon we can get Baudry out of retirement again?

I think Lavinier has been playing CB in a back three during pre season

Tbf, Hutton has started all of ours - Corsham aside - but if an offer comes in, he’ll be off. Presume the same for Kemp.
MKD do not want to sell Kemp according to their forum, they are going to play him this season, so I think we can wave that one goodbye.

Not wrong - not just League 2 clubs though. It's happening across all leagues

I was talking to someone close to club yesterday and it blew my mind the salary players are asking for at the moment. Theres a good few wanting between 3-4k a week presently

I would like to think that once this dies down and the season approaches they'll be a bit more desperate and lower these demands

So we’re looking at the long game here. Wait til enough clubs go bust and we’ll go up by default.

Brilliant!

To be fair it worked pretty well for Bath in the egg chasing last year, hoovered up loads of talent when other clubs went bust and ended up qualifying for Europe off the back of it...

You'd imagine that would be the case, unfortunately I imagine that players won't get desperate enough to lower their demands until the window almost is shut and we've possibly already sacrificed a handful of games

It’s not just us

The Championship clubs who have made the fewest first-team signings so far this summer:

Huddersfield Town (0)
Leeds United (0)
West Bromwich Albion (0)
Sheffield Wednesday (1)

this is at least sort of encouraging:

Michael Flynn on one in one out:

No, it is not that. I am in a position where I don't want to waste budget. I inherited quite a big squad and that has given me time to figure out what we need. I will not sign someone just because they are available.
