Sandro is a real problem in my view here-also think it is the set up that is stopping us getting a manager in.

Why do you need a DOF in league 2- just does not work

Most clubs are run this way now, it isn’t just us.

Sandro isn’t my cup of tea, but he isn’t responsible for every single decision the club makes. Clem is in the country at the moment, do people really think he’s not heavily involved in the managerial process, and also with regards to which players come and go.

It’s his club, and his money, he’s still got a say in all these decisions.

You can't keep an unhappy player, Gladwin wanted to leave, hes left, it frees a large wage and we get a fee. Macdonald will probably be next, hopefully Hutton sorts his differences with the new manager and we can get a couple of replacements in before next Tuesdays 11pm deadline.

Doesn't give the new manager much time to get in players if he arrives on Monday, assuming he will have a say in this window anyway or Sandro will control all the signings.
Dunno why you’d keep Gladwin even if he was happy to be honest. It’s no coincidence that his improvement in form coincided with us basically playing at walking pace.

Ambitious move

Ambitious move in salary.

Bit pissed off at this tbh, but IF his contract was up in the summer or he asked to leave the club are in a tricky position

Wasn't his extension only for 12 month meaning it would be up this summer, no brainer for me.

I presume even we’re not stupid enough to let players go without having replacements lined up.

Austin and Morris aren’t here to play budget football.

This would have been a good one for Reg….

Have we ever sold a player twice before?
Chris Kamara £50k to Brentford and £27,500 to Stoke. I think there have been more too though.

Jim Quinn Blackburn Rovers £50,000 and Leicester £210,000.

I'm surprised Gladwin has so many MOTM votes. He was good right at the start of the season but lately I've thought he's been wank.

We still need the midfield enforcer in the Grant style to protect the defence IMO. But someone who can also spread the ball around a bit when needed.

Martin Ling who is the DOF at Leyton Orient would probably disagree with you, you miserable pillock.

And Kenny Jackett at Gills, Simon Wilson at Stockport, Chris Casper at Salford, Chris Galley at Crawley, the list is endless, pretty much every team in L2 has one.

All 4 of the clubs promoted from league 2 last season had a director of football/head of football operations/technical director.

It doesn’t work in league 2 though  Wink

We also had one when we won the league with Wellens, and got to the play offs last season, no one seemed to mind then.

But apart from that, what have the directors of football ever done for us, eh?
