How far can that go though really? I'm all for a young squad with players you develop, but you need a spine or group of older heads, not sure Sandro has a damn clue honestly.
What if what's he's being offered is what he wants ultimately and we are not offerring here. It'll be all geared up to coaching

I presume the plan is - sign them young, give a decent length of contract, if we get promoted they should only improve in the league above. Sell. Rinse and repeat.
Sounds horrific

Some going to get money for Gladwin twice. The only reason he looked ok this season was because he was able to keep up with the pace of our boring slow paced brand of football. When we played the fast attacking stuff at times last season he was an absolute passenger and just slowed everything down.

No real loss for me.

Look at the team that went up with wellens.

McCormick, Baudry, Caddis, Zakuan, Doughty, Grant, Doyle….

No secret what works. It’s just getting the average age down and getting rid of assets that have no real resale/ top end value

You can have a handful that have no resale value in my mind. Grant, Baudry, Caddis (though he was back up to Hunt really), as long as they help develop and increase the value of our other assets.

Especially when those players are acquired with no fee, they are therefore never assets that lose value.

This would have been a good one for Reg….

Have we ever sold a player twice before?

Hardly a surprise, though. Sandro has said that’s our model.

Feeder club/showcase for talent. SDMs made that clear

Get promotion and be successful I can stomach it. Fail to get promotion then you stick your spreadsheets and showcasing where the sun don’t shine.

We’ll only get to the Championship by retaining our best players. If they are always going to be sold when their value hits our valuation, they’ll be off.

Good question that. I can't think of anything immediately, did Reading pay for Bodin the second time he left?

Every League One/Two club sells their best players. We're just... unusually open in promoting the possibility.

Eventually they do. Some refuse trying to give it a go (scum, for example).

Gladwin to Crawley
Where has this come from? Can’t see it on adver. Not on the twittersphere so a lot of these rumours/updates pass me by.

Sandro is a real problem in my view here-also think it is the set up that is stopping us getting a manager in.

Why do you need a DOF in league 2- just does not work

You can't keep an unhappy player, Gladwin wanted to leave, hes left, it frees a large wage and we get a fee. Macdonald will probably be next, hopefully Hutton sorts his differences with the new manager and we can get a couple of replacements in before next Tuesdays 11pm deadline.

Doesn't give the new manager much time to get in players if he arrives on Monday, assuming he will have a say in this window anyway or Sandro will control all the signings.
