I know it's a bit of a nonsense, but I don't think giving Adeloye the #9 shirt really helped. If you get that shirt, the expectation is that you're a definite first team regular, not a bit of a punt.

Two goals for Tomi tonight.  Jawdrop

It was against Chippenham in the Wiltshire shield though.   Chuckle

Pen and an open goal or some sort of keeper howler from what was reported.

They all count though.

I thought Iandolo had been a decent utility/squad player until this season when he's been frankly, shit.

Gladwin is hit and miss and after a few good games early on this season, if been mostly miss.

Lindsey going after players he doesn't seem capable of getting the best out of is ironic, to say the least.

Given Iandolo came in at a young age, and then was put into struggling team whilst, covering a variety of positions, it's fair to give him some slack covering his first few seasons here. However, looking at the most recent seasons he's been involved in, you can clearly make a judgement on him and to me that's that he's a conference south player, at best. For him to still be in the first team now completely exemplifies why the club is where it is. No return whether it be from goals, assists or being solid at the back. Blake-Tracy in front of him last season could have been the difference in automatic promotion and play-offs.

Even looking at Gladwin. He's a player that had a limited period of success here, lived off a decent move to QPR but has never shown anything other than being a reasonable lower league squad player. Admittedly he has clearly worked on his fitness since last season and looks about 5% sharper. He does though still lack the ability to dictate games from midfield.
He dwells on the ball, or takes more than one unnecessary touch stifling moves and often loses possession or plays hospital balls. There's no attacking intent either now, and he still turns like a traction engine. When you've got a manager like Lindsey, who admired him from his first stint and then has helped work on his game, you end up in the position we are now with the manager playing him blindly and failing to see his deficiencies.

Unless a new manager/ coach comes in, who is completely independent from the current setup this season will merely peter out as there also too many examples of such players in the rest of the squad.

I thought Iandolo was decent last season and if I'm not imagining it he picked up a fair few mom votes too, so not just me. He's been poor this season but so have many others, which I'd put at least some of the blame on the coaching and tactics which have been frankly awful.

if Crawley take him and he recaptures last year's form he'll be an asset in their relegation fight. Good utility player.

missing all of this year's preseason has not helped him at all.

Where I have doubts of if he's good enough in any one position to consistently maintain a place in a side going for the top 3. A kind of Jack of all trades ...

He is a useful squad player with added versatility

This, I think in a strange way Iandolo benefits from but also suffers from being very flexible so probably in an ideal world he is a useful squad player to have on the bench for emergencies but no more than that.

I think Iandolo us underrated by a lot on here - he was very good last season, and has been hampered by injury picked up in preseason this year. His versatility is also an asset - and unlike some, he isn’t afraid to tackle.
For me, he is a better asset to our squad than Darcy, who others seem to rate highly - I suppose this just highlights how we all see the game differently.
Gladwin is, apart from Reed, the best passer of the ball in our team - I agree his form has dipped since early season when he picked up several man of the match votes.

Iandolo is a modern day David Duke (the Scottish one, not the KKK one). Versatile, does his best, suffers from not nailing down a position, never going to be our best player but if he's the worst the squad is in pretty good shape.

Could be about to lose Sol Brynn which would be massive....league 1 clubs have asked to take him for the second half of the season.

Iandolo is a terrible player who is stealing a living.

For most of his time here he has been given a contract because of versatility, and we have not had the money for a large squad so someone who could plug multiple gaps had some value, even if he wasn't great in any of them. He basically played a dozen games a season.

He's only really properly played last season and this. Both when Lindsey has been involved. At this best he looked okay in a midfield three, but is just so slow, mentally and physically, has no final ball at all, often looks completely lost.

Fans love a player that trys, thats all i can think for the fans he has. If he plays our squad has a problem. Or your manager is Lindsey.

Talking like the dogs bollocks. You don't watch him play 42 games last season and come 2nd in our mom votes or something silly and come out with a conference south player. Fans are obsessed with a villain. Ellis is this seasons target. If he was blond and had long hair you would no doubt love him. Short memories just like everyone happy to get rid of Rob hunt.

I genuinely won't keep biting I promise. Some of the descriptives just annoy the fuck out of me. A terrible player stealing a living. Just wow. After some of the shit that's end up playing for us.

In your own words, he has only really started to play last season. This was last season:

Quote
CONSISTENCY: In total votes accumulated across the season, the top five voted MoM nominees were:
5th: Jonny WILLIAMS (176)
4th: Louis REED (220)
3rd: Jack PAYNE (274)
2nd: Ellis IANDOLO (291)
1st: Harry McKIRDY (311)

2021 MOST MoMs WINNER: This year's winner of the most MoM awards, in reverse order:
5th=: Mathieu BAUDRY, Dion CONROY, Romoney CRICHLOW, Jonny WILLIAMS (3 MoMs each)
4th: Louis REED (4)
3rd: Ellis IANDOLO (5)
2nd: Jack PAYNE (7)
1st: Harry McKIRDY (7.33)

People must think I'm related to him. I wouldn't have him starting in league 1. But to say he's terrible and stealing a living is just trolling and it highest. Based on the above you probably voted for him numerous times last season!

You are using last seasons 'stats' to disprove the fact i said he only really properly played from last season? Genius idea.

The truth remains, if everyone is fit, he doesn't play, he isn't in the first 11. He is only there because of a small squad and injuries last season, and this season because of lindsey. Really simple.
