As soon as Duke said the McKirdy deal was off - it was obviously going to happen.

Was definitely off, was on the plane back home and pissed off.

Video of Banbury's recent game against Hereford. He looks pretty good:

Looks to be playing quite centrally in all those clips?

Yeah, I thought the same. Certainly not playing as a winger.

Don’t think we are stronger.

We’ve sold last seasons top scorer and replaced him with a Plymouth bench warmer and an injured striker who doesn’t score goals.

You can’t say until the new signings perform.
In terms of numbers of course we are in a better position.
Desperately in need of a right back. Sure in terms of the forwards we signed two. One definitely has real potential as a season ago being tipped for the Championship.

The keeper situation is a little scary now as well, we can’t afford anything to happen to Brynn.

Maybe an out of contract opportunity is in scope.

Just get an emergency loan if Brynn gets injured

You’d hope so as I think it would be a bit unfair to throw Brann under that sort of pressure, he’s never even been on the bench for Galway yet alone played at a standard close to L2.

He had a month training with Ipswich last January so must have shown something.

Injury to Brynn is relatively low risk due to the ability to bring in a GK emergency loan. Other factors are we have absolutely no gauge or idea as fans how good Brann is right now, he may well even be ready to go.

Re. Jephcott - on paper, I like it. But, if he’s a poacher, he might struggle - we don’t create chances (despite what SL keeps insisting)

I think it might almost help here - pretty sure Ward's experience would mean we wouldn't be eligible for an emergency loan (too many first team games played?).

Charlton fans are foaming at the mouth over their non-window. They Reckon Garner has been conned - so by extension, so has JoJo, Egbo and Payne.

Last season being the operative words. We’ve done fuck all with him this season.

He’s our (joint) top scorer at a rate which would see him with a similar total as last year

The team as a whole struggles to create chances in the first few games. I’m not sure why he’s been completely written off in some quarters
