It doesn't make me wrong (it might make me a cunt 😉) . My opinion, also, is that anyone who writes a player off before he plays a competitive game is being unfair, shall we say. Regardless of what he has done at previous clubs. He may well turn out to be shite, but history tells us that how a player has performed at previous clubs is not always the best indicator of how he will perform here. History also tells us that a player that shines in pre-season games may not be the superstar we thought he would be either. |

What about when he underhits a backpass after 4 minutes at Harrogate to gift them the opener and the first goal of the season in the EFL? Actually there are probably Friday and early kick offs so won't be the first goal of the season. |

You might find it difficult to understand but I actually agree with you. Writing a player off before competitive matches is absolute folly. I'm not sure he'll even start the game, I suspect he'll be very much a squad player. |
