This is the report on Liam Lindsay. Rotherham were looking at him before and Hibs wanting to sign him (on a perm) if another of their defenders went to Millwall. OOC at the end of the season:

Links today with us going for ex Charlton loanee Dylan Levitt of Man Utd in midfield, the 5 times capped Welsh international has been recalled by United from an unsuccessful loan at Charlton where he only made a 3 league appearances.

Personally I can't see United wanting to deal with us again after the Kovar loan.

We have until 11pm tomorrow to finalise any new signings.

It amazes me clubs have all month to sort their transfers out but many leave until the last few hours

I dont think Man utd would have any reason not to loan us another player. Kovar came here as number 1 and Wellens publicly stated that. He just wasn't good enough for first team football. As far as I am aware he wasn't treated badly by us and I cant recall him being publicly criticised by the manager/coaches.

Yes that is possbly true, Matt Smith can feel far harshly treated by the club and manager than Kovar really.

I’m not against signing another CB if the plan if there is one is to play 3-5-2.I also think we are crying out for a striker, big target man who can hold the ball up and make the ball stick.Right now when we lump it it’s coming straight back at us and the gaps between the midfield and the one we play up front are way too big.

Also I am not convinced loan players are ever up for a relegation scrap,I’m happy to be proved wrong of course.

Were Lindsay to arrive, might Conroy in midfield be a realistic option. Didn't  he play there a couple of times when he first came back?

Could be much more than a rumour but I'll leave that to others...

I thought you had it on good authority that he wanted to play in the championship

Lower Champ or higher L1. Also what the player wants isn't always what they get. The decision is Arsenal's in where they best see his further development; that appears to be Charlton and has been suggested that it will be announced tomorrow.

A Play Off chasing team would be a great step, especially if they do get into them. Valuable experience and I'm sure he'll probably help them to achieve it.

He will do well in any team that is technically good or technically well managed. Town under Sheridan is not it.
