Apparently, Sheridan is using former Darlo leg breaker Gary Gill(more) to get a fresh perspective on potential new strikers.

Indeed - credit where it’s due for the early business and in Freeman what seems a real coup.

On another note it is interesting across STFC social media to read Jewell get the plaudits for this transfer business but apparently the summers work was all Wellens...a few seem not to want to credit Shez with any part in these deals  Hmmm

Would genuinely interested to know how exactly our recruitment works and which signings (both good and bad) ‘belonged’ to who...

Whether the manager suggests a name and Jewell sorts it out. Or Jewell provides a list of names to the manager?

Have a feeling he will be one of those in a few years that people wonder what happened here. Just a gut feeling he will do well

Trying to remember which games we had fans at and if Stevens played any - certainly didn't v Fleetwood.

Wondering if he might be a trivia question in future about Town players who no Swindon fan ever saw play in the flesh (Hartley aside...)

A few bits on Freeman from the Sheff Utd forum plus one goal highlight. He knows where the goal is with 18 goals from 225 games.

Sounds like a very very good signing, I hope he gets back to fitness quickly, unlikely he will start tomorrow though I wouldn't think having not played for several months, was linked to Stoke only a few weeks ago.

Quote
When we first signed him I got excited cos I thought at first we had signed Luke Freeman, Now we are more sorry to see Kieran Leave than Luke. Funny old game.

Kezza, best of luck lad, you're a legend in my eyes. I play right back so I always keep a closer eye on our right backs and I have to say you're up there with my most enjoyable players that I've watched.

He was phenomenal in that first promotion and always provided solid cover since.

Good luck KF where ever you end up. Too good a footballer not to get fixed up anywhere.

Best RWB in the league, that league winning season. Unplayable.

A really good asset for us. Wish him all the best wherever he goes. Played a key part in our recent rise.

Very shocked he hasn't found a new club, must be some good RB's in championship.......

Will forever be one of my favourite Blades in the 100 Club. Banged the goals in from RB and told Adkins to F*** Off.

Thought he’d have got a Champo club to be honest, he’s better than Swindon!

Delighted for the lad and it's absolute absurd that it's taken him this long to find a club. I hope to see him simply back enjoying his football. Not sure what style of play Swindon have??

Suprised he’s dropped to league one tbh defo thought he’d have filled a void in championship I liked him at lane good luck to him

In this climate I bet he's just delighted to be back at a professional club

Check the goal 1:15 mins in.

Good point - Stevens played 16 times v Fryer's 4 though.

2 new strikers wanted before the Donny game according to Sheridan. What does that mean for Smith T?

Saw T V Smith in Munich c7 years ago. Had a beer and chatted with him after the gig, my good mate Jol Rose (now living and singing in Swindon) was his support then and on a couple of other gigs in Germany.

I hope that Rob Hunt or A Grant does not leave, they was a couple of our best players last season and I'm sure this season with better players around them they would be fine.

If Wellens wants any of our players maybe he can start with some of the crap he signed this season who he thought was fine for this level with the budget he had, they must be good players for him to sign them.

I would be surprised if Wellens didn't come in for anyone, there are quite a few of the L2 winning team still here that played their best football under him, so they may wish to follow him again, and he did list his 4 (?) players he thought would walk into any team (Hunt, Fryers, Grant, Baudry)
