If he came to Town it can't be as a LB. I reckon as a LWB or even a left midfielder. Would not really want to rely on him as an out and out FB. Seems a bit Ian ish. Can do the going forward stuff but really can't play as a FB.
Would be a good signing I think but he may be a luxury that frustrates Town fans. Simply don't have the experiment/project time to afford him that kind of leeway at the moment.
No doubt the lad is talented and a drop down would be good but needs to be utilised correctly.

Jewell was/is responsible for the signings though. Both the good ones and the shit ones
Not always in agreement.

Wellens is Jewell's man. Sheridan is Jewell's man. While I am sure that recruitment is a team effort, it would certainly seem to me that the recruitment of the manager and the players is primarily Jewell's role.
What Wellens wanted was to keep last year's team together. At some point that became impossible to do and they scrambled around trying to put something together.
Wellens talked some shit and is a miserable fuck, but tactically he was superb (Newport at home last year the only glaring exception to that I can think of), he put energy back into the club and fun back in being a supporter last year. If fans don't recognise that, they need sectioning.
Wellens had the final say on all player signings and turned a few options down. Equally not going to knock Wellens as did a cracking job last season. I do think though that Jewell will now have more of a say going forward.

I'll happily say it for Duke. Wellens was a cunt.

How he left us a definite yes and without doubt if he returned albeit with another club the atmosphere would be toxic. But without doubt he gave us that feel again as to what it is like to have our Swindon back and I loved every minute of travelling watching the games. Just hoping we can scrape enough points to stay up. Power I believe has lost the club but no idea to how the new structure will look and to whether he will still have some controlling or “silent” interest in it. Equally the new majority we have no idea as to their interests and whether they are better than what we have had for the past 5 or more years. Just will have to see what unfolds but hopefully when it is clearer we are still in League one.

Agree with this. The good news is by the look of it is that the people who are seeminly calling the shots do at least now look like they want to stay in this league and try and reshape in the summer. It's a start

Are you saying he has sold the club or something?

Not sure he has sold anything but if the Standing case goes the same way as the Clem case than that doesn't make him majority share holder i suppose. With no income at all at the moment i would assume he is happy for the others to step forward

110% agree that Wellens brought the good feelings back to the fans but for me, how he handled his exit far outweighs his achievements with us. As for Power’s status in the club, it’s going to be a bumpy run to the Summer. If anything, I hope Power does win his case against Standing/ Barry just to avoid even more muddied water and allow him to sell the club on without disruption but still fear who is it that he’s trying to sell it to?

What actually is the case? He either owes Standing or Barry a substantial amount of money. What difference does it make which one?

power claims he got 800k from Standing in return for half profits in player sales.
standing claims it was a 50/50 purchase of the club, with his shares held in trust for him as he's not allowed direct ownership given his football activities.
if standing is correct, and given clems position, power world lose majority ownership.
I think

I guess that depends on what was written down, agreed and signed for? Does a verbal agreement stand up in court if it is one persons word against another’s?
