Well, I'd be happy with him - chins and all.
Wellens has said in the past he doesn't want his No. 9 working too hard. As long as BP still has his sharpness in front of goal then it should be a good signing.

Another cryptic tweet from Nixon which suggests Devante Cole may be on his way as well as Pitman.

My concern is as you get older it gets harder to shed weight and gain fitness, obviously if he gets fit he will be an asset and Wellens will back himself to get him in shape but it is a much greater risk than Doyle who was fully fit just lacking when it came to form. To be honest I'm concerned in general that a professional footballer lets himself end up looking like he has....

Were we not linked with him before. Did we have him on trial, or is my memory messing with me?

Exactly. Pitman has never been a thin player yet has still managed to score nearly 200 professional goals at a rate of 1 every 3 games. He is never going to be thin but if he scores then 20 goals a season and doesnt even finish every game then that would be a result. Another cryptic tweet from Nixon which suggests Devante Cole may be on his way as well as Pitman.
Lots of L1 teams are after the son of Andy Cole, he is one of the fastest players I have ever seen but he doesn't get anywhere near enough goals and is 25 now. For me hes like a clone of Woolery, fast, strong but not a great finisher and similar age too.

I think you’re misreading that, he’s followed it up with talking about a ‘man down a pit’

Not sure that applies necessarily at 32, in your 40's yes.

Also, that ‘he is not available right now’. That’s got to be someone already contracted elsewhere.

I would rather give Scott Twine a chance than sign Cole

I thought he was just saying Grigg is not available? That's one of the problems with these cunts being cryptic. You can't be sure of when they are giving clues, or just talking straight.

And going cryptic drives the thread off course

I still don't get the banana tweet. Is that to do with Pitman? I can't see a connection.

And we've no idea what he's been up to. That photo isn't current is it? Never know he may have been working his arse / chin off on fitness for the last few months. Not unheard of in players in their early 30's.

Cant see Town fans taking to Pitman unless he gets off to a flying start. He's slow and lazy. Can score goals though so could fit in
