Good luck to him if true. Shame he hasn’t really justified the big price tag.

There is a player there somewhere.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Boo seems to be suggesting that Devitt is still on.

Or at least I think that's what he's saying. I wish they'd just say it straight at times.

I think that would actually cause the Bradford forum to vaporize.

Really? Surely we don’t need another attacking midfielder. That Blackpool Tower pic probably hints at Woolery going there

Anyway, he’s on loan to Bradford.

Unless, unless - there’s a Woolery deal to be done with Blackpool

I hope it happens purely for this reason.

Hmmm, I expect (hope) there are some clauses but I’m not sure paying a fee for a player and signing him to a 6 month contract has that much benefit to us.

For example, long term would the money in that deal have better uses signing Yates permanently

Oh, If they recall him from Bradford so he can come to us, that would be so much sweeter considering their goading when Doyle was recalled.

I think they are in financial trouble. They’ve signed a player who was a sub for Harrogate Town, also linked to Matt Rhead ffs

I'm sure there are, but the way I see it is that this is our promotion chance. They don't come along every year. So lets go for it  even if there is an oppertunity cost later on, and rebuild in the summer if need be.

Promotion would surely be worth a lot more than 100K? It's far from certain, but having Doyle will make it much more likely. The game against Colchester showed how badly we need out and out goalscorers - and Doyle is exactly that.

Fair point. I remember January under Iffy when we sold Fallon who had 6 months left on his contract. He was our survival hope. The money we got from his transfer to Swansea was less than what relegation cost us, so Mark Devlin said...

Similar chance to gamble just in reverse....I suppose...

Dont forget though we do get more money from being promoted but also costs increase, with more fans we need more stewards etc and also players will expect pay rises for new contracts that are due to be renewed I.e Doyle / Grant etc.
