Either the fee is nowhere close to this (the actual fee hasn't been disclosed) or parts of the contract haven't been released (i.e. the additional 12 months is dependant on promotion).
Yep, I do tend to trust Power on this. But there's just always a slight niggle in the back of my mind that says if it can go wrong at STFC, it will. Like if Wellens said to him he won't be here after the summer, so you might want to follow. Stop. Just stop.

I always understood that if a club releases/sells/boots out a player still under contract they are liable to pay up the remainder of said contract. So his remain8ng 5 months would cost Bradford around £100,000. Maybe we’ve just picked up that tab, Doyle has taken a pay cut with the promise of finding a new club and getting a whizzbang contract then.

Again the £100k is only speculation and when it says initially, it doesn't say when that was, as per my previous post if he didn't go today or tomorrow he was essentially worthlesss and a liability to Bradford. In terms of contract next season nothing to suggest that it won't be here, especially if we go up. He likes it here and he will be 32 then so unlikely to be showered with silly offers. FFS its a good day, everyone needs to stop overthinking things. Christ he's not Elliot Benyon!

I think it’s a decent deal. We have got our man. Wages wise id expect he doesn’t come cheap. If it goes belly up for us this season we are not saddle with a higher wage bill between two players. Grant and Doyle. If it does I’d expect both to have extensions in their contract that we can envoke and push on in league one.

Thank God it happened today, my F5 button at work at has nearly worn away and I have no idea where to get a replacement from or how much it would cost

That is quite possibly the best piece of media (in terms of "Breaking News") by the club I've seen. Simple and effective as always. Well done media team and all involved in bringing Doyle to Town on a Perm. Bring on the ginger wigs!

I think we are just waiting on an acceptable offer for Batch and we are done.

Right.
Who’s next?
Could probably do with another striker, in case the other 7 get injured.

Was talking to Doyle at breakfast this morning (Marriott Hotel) and he said it was happening today. Hunt picked him up this morning. Apparently he didn’t leave Bradford on good terms. Great news, onwards & upwards.
Now it's all out, how long had the Auburn one been checked in to the Marriott?

Were they using you as a honeytrap? We'd have known this this morning if Batch wasn't such a cunt
