I recall seeing you in the Adver, mounting a campaign to save the aforementioned stone.
As a kid there was one near where I lived , but it was completely devoid of any lettering. It may still be there.

That's a relief, cheers Reg, I had visions of looking out the bedroom window and seeing this fleeting but strangely knowledgeable silhouette in the street - like an encyclopedic Swindonian Micheal Myers
