There was no problem what so ever but as soon as the police arrived people started chanting about fighting etc and trying to wind the Millwall fans up. Definately OTT.

Makes you laugh really, I don't think there has been 1 game this season where there hasn't been police either inside or outside the ground.
Do the club only pay for police inside the ground ?
Be nice next season to see a few police free games.

That police presence at the end will have negated all the attendance money from yesterday.

So surely if the police thought it was in the publics interest to draft officers in from the Thames Valley then the costs will be down to tax-payers and not Swindon Town FC. I'm not sure this correct but it is what I always believed when it came down to costs, that's why we have stewards instead of police inside the ground on most match days. |
