I normally let drivers in as I'd expect them to let me in.

Filter lanes are designed to get cars off busy roundabouts and stop queues blocking exits... i use them all the time if necessary (usually at the Peugeot garage roundabout when trying to head to town). There are even arrows indicating the purpose of said filter lane, so i don't understand why people get funny about it. If more people used them, there wouldn't be so many inconsiderate cunts blocking peoples exits from roundabouts in this town.

I wouldn't have let you in either, Sam.  When I see an exit coming up, I'll pull over at the start of the filter lane and wait my turn to get off the main road like everyone else.  I wouldn't be so arrogant as to assume that my time was more important than everyone else's.

Then I would ram you, I dont care if I put a dent in my car but most other drivers will back down, once you have let me in, I will do a 'Sussex' and look straight ahead and not even notice your dirty looks in my direction,  your swearing, arm waving and stressful attitude. Cool

I really don't understand this whole "I've queued, so should you" attitude. If there's an empty piece of tarmac that'll get me home quicker then I'm filling it.

Fine.  Just don't expect me to let you in.  The point you seem to be missing is that when pulling over you don't have right of way.  There is no obligation for anyone to let you in...so best not to get too chopsy when people don't.  You made your bed...

I usually let the ladies in so I can get a smile and a wave.

The way I see it is, let one in move on and so on. I get annoyed when I let one in and five come flying past.

Hmm it depends doesnt it, if I know two lanes are merging into one I will move over as early as possible. If im queing I usually let one person in then move myself, as Lady said I'd expect to be let in...

What I cant stand is when everyone knows the lane is coming to an end, so everyone moves across into the non filter lane....there is a que of about 7 or 8 cars and someone comes up the inside in the empty filter lane knowing full well he needs to get in having jumped the que. Try not to let those type of people in.
