I see that you can now get tickets for the Millwall game via your mobile or on-line getting the "ticket" by text and it is cheaper at £15 (although how much it cost you in mobile fee's I don't know)
What an excellent idea, this is obviously a trial to see how it goes with a view to using it next season.
I suspect they are intending to do away with paper season tickets for next season as well.

I imagine text you get has some form of copy protection on it. Regardless, each square bar code is unique, and can only be scanned at the turnstiles once.

I would imagine it is unique, so you can forward it on all you like but whoever get's there first get's in to the ground and the other's get locked out - even if it was you that bought the ticket

One of Rikki Hunt's great advances was to have the plastic season ticket card....just they didn't have the card readers You showed it to the turnstyle operator who logged it on a tally chart. Very high tech. I was quite impressed that some of the operators could count to 5.

I kept meaning to ask - Has anyone come across that freak steward in the Kingswood? shes quite old and sounds dutch or something - the other day she was working on the turnstyles and she took my season ticket and wouldnt give it back she was just looking at me going "oooo you so pretty you a movie star" or something totally odd like that - she then gave my boyfriend a lecture about marrying me before she let us in - she stands there wittering away about crap to anyone who walks buy during the game

It'd be like being on here.

I still had a couple of the old card season tickets kicking away at the back of my wallet until I lost it some months back. Tidy little things. Easy to pass back to a mate behind you.

Shame you lost them, any old STFC memorabilia, has a meaning to someone as sad as me. Having said that , I'm not sure where mine have gone ...every so often I have a purge on crap.

Did they actually have a magnetic strip to swipe as well? Yep it was a proper card.....a quick look to find an old one led to nothing, other than finding a travelling toothbrush box, which contains two halves of a toothbrush which fit together and a small tube of toothpaste. How useful, think I won it in a quiz.

Yeah defo had a magnetic strip. If it contained any information is a mystery. I suppose there's a possibility it got swiped when you claimed your club shop discount or something. I sort of doubt it, but I can't really remember.

That's utter genius you can only hope they were planning to implement it at a later date!
