Wellington to Picton - From New Zealand's north to south island. Not only was the scenery lovely with schools of dolphins following along but the boat was an old cross channeler - The Pride Of Cherborg. That must have been a hell of a journey down...

I went on that one too, and another one around Milford Sound, good day out. Unsurprisingly it was a raining given that it's a rainforest.

South Coast England to North Coast France many times, Cherbourg, Calais, Roscoff, Caen, Le Havre. And the Star Ferry in Hong Kong.

Always liked boats and ferrys, I've a few weeks on the canals as well, great holidays and lots of pubs along the way.

Poole to Isle of Wight.

Done that one for the festival, beautiful day too, got sunburnt on the deck despite the fact it only takes about half an hour.

There's a fine ferry across teh River Wye below Symond's Yat. you get pulled over on a bit of rope...think it may have been there for centuries.

southampton-cowes and vice versa is very pleasant during the summer.
took a seas cat from fishguard to roslaire and returned via the same route.on the outward journey it was so ruff the staff were green and throwing up.
never again will i go across the irish sea by boat

I've been on that one before as well. It wasn't as bad as you had it but they are choppy waters in the Irish Sea.

Bang Pe to Koh Samet.

I done it many times, quite uneventful really but the scenery is postcard material.

I much prefer taking a speedboat though, sitting right at the front and trying to drink whiskey from the bottle is one of the best games ever...... FACT.

HAHAHAHAHAHA I have done the very same journey sat at the front of the speed boat drinking a bottle of sang song.

Hythe to Southampton, not so much for the journey but for the very long pier at Hythe complete with it's own train.

algeceiras to cueta is just lush with africa looming and the atlas mountains towering in the distance.

Star Ferry in Hong Kong is cool

But the best ferry is the big fuck off yellow on in fiji that takes you right out to the Manwana (sp) island deep in the pacific, passing  ad ozen or so islands, pure breathtaking.

I'd forgotten that one, it is bloody good, but still picton one at the top for me, also the worst was ayuthya?? BR will know it, not strictly a ferry more a raft across the river 10 ft square with 50 people on it, scary as hell

I believe that big yellow one in Fiji is the Yasawa flyer.  We used that to get up and down the Yasawa Islands.  Absolutely awesome although choppy!

We also used the Tiger IV to get to the Mamanuca Islands - far less visited although not as good as the Yasawa!
