JUst had my yearly check up ... before I went I felt bloody great.

Lost a bit of weight
Not over eating and eating the right things
Drinking of course big problem - lifetime abuse
Started to smoke again - felt I was back at school again, what a bollocking

I've come out feeling a complete wreck - if you don't stop drinking, smoking, enjoying yourself in life you will be dead in ..... years.

God I feel bloody awful now, and you pay for this service to make you utterly depressed.

So whats left in life, I know down the pub I go, packet of fags on the way, if that is all the time I have then I'm going to enjoy my bloody self.

Anyone else had one of these wonderful well-man clinic experiences?

I dont think i'm rich enough. I haven't been ill in 5 years though  Cool

Just ignore them though dell, chances are it means little anyway. Just enjoy yourself, and carry on like yourselve. The way i look at it, it's probably better to die a happy man at 70, than spend the last 10 years of your life plugged into some breathing machine.

That wasn't meant to sound depressing btw!! I apologise if your over 70 already

Surely there is more to life than smoking/drinking though. Just cut it down a bit.

Easy for me to say, as I rarely drink and don't smoke.  :?

I feel great since quitting the smokes, but it's all down to you mate.

Drinking is ok as long as you don't drink excessive amounts alot.

Doctors never tell me there's anything wrong. Although that might be because I haven't seen one for nearly 10 years. Not even registered at one any more. Lucky there's nothing wrong with me.

That was a bad experience I never want to go through again!

In all seriousness, I rarely drink to excessive amounts anymore. I only drink on saturdays too.

Back on topic, how much do these well man check ups cost out of interest?
