A move like this creates winners and losers, and the club obviously think that there would be more winners out there than losers.

Unfortunately for me, and the many other people I know who travel from London and elsewhere, I would be a loser.  I would not be able to make a game on a Friday night for the same reason I have not been to a Tuesday night game in years...I couldn't get there after work.

We would also be making ourselves very unpopular with other clubs and their fans.  Unless the game is one of our few local derbies, away attendances would be minimal.

As someone who commutes to and from London myself I totally agree

I actually think it's a good idea - as long as it is limited to 2-3 home games.

Something a little different, usually a better atmosphere than an afternoon game, and maybe attract people who cannot traditionally go on a saturday....

Sorry to the out of towners and all - but I think it's something we should not dismiss until it has been tried....

Maybe the out of towners should show some support for their local team instead of jumping on the stfc glory bandwagon. Fucking scum the lot of them.

No way. Football on Friday? WTF is that all about? It only works for Tranmere because they have Liverpool and Everton on their doorstep so most of the locals watch them on a Saturday instead.

So, on top of a 250 mile round trip, I'll now have to take a half days holiday off work for a Friday night game? Fuck off.

To be fair if its only a few games I don't mind as there are so many teenagers etc. who have Saturday jobs/play footy on a Saturday afternoon that can't come.  In fact many of what could be our fans of the future.

You can't sterotype 16-18 year olds all as chavs.  They are probably far better as they can actually be bothered to go out and work for some spare cash! I;ve seen grown men behave far worse than most of the kids at the CG!

Oh well that would make life difficult for me, but if it is just for a few (3/4) games then it would be OK

Not that keen as generally night matches mean less time before the game ... no match on telly before the game in pub ... colder in general ... less away fans which leads to even less atmosphere ...

on the plus side .. whole weekend after it to yourself ..

It's a no from me as well, but on the plus side, at least the club are looking into things, and will more likely discuss with fans groups before giving the go ahead.
