Another defeat. Isn't that only 2 wins in 9 or something now? Oh dear. Also we haven't won away for fucking ages. I doubt we will again all season.

We'll beat Gillingscum-I guarantee it

Just a thought listening to the texts into Radio Swindon post match today, and it strikes me as odd that despite it only being a few months ago, everyones memories of Sturrocks reign in charge seem to be overwhelmingly positive.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Sturrock was a good manager and I'd prefer that he hadn't left the club when he did, but he wasn't exactly the second coming of Brian Clough.

I agree. I think we'd be no better off under him than we are now.

he came in got us promoted and then took us isnt the top half of league one before leaving.

He's won promotion at practically every single club he's been at and has always established them in the division the following season.

His teams are well organised and hard to break down.

Its seems now that he's gone, we have to look back at his time as if he was a ordinary manager. He wasnt, he was a good manager and I cant see how there can be any doubt in anyones mind that we'd be better off right now if Sturrock was still here.

He would have had us challenged the top 6 next season.

I know he isnt here now, but his reign here was good.....and best of all.....we knew it was only the start.

Stupid fucking Leicester, Hollyway and Plymouth....

Also stupid fucking Bolton and Gary Megson, surely.

Possibly also Sammy Lee, Sam Allardyce, Newcastle United, Glen Roeder and so on.

Yay for the Managerial Merry Go Round.

Well i'm moving on anyway. Why do people still talk about Sturrock? We might as well all talk about Jimmy Quinn, Andy King, Colin Todd etc but what difference does it make? Onwards and upwards.

Totally agree, his record speaks for itself. He won't produce the best football to watch in the league, he will produce results which is clearly reflect in the number of promotions he has won.

As for today, didn't even listen to it on the radio properly so I'll  wait for the returning fans reports and draw my conclusion from there.

I think you're right. No point on dwelling on ifs and buts.

Since MMs arrival we've only lost twice at home, once unluckily against Leeds and once deservedly against Walsall.

Before his arrival our away form was shit, having only won away once.

Sure we've drawn too many games, but it isn't as bleak as some people paint it.

Yeah, Sturrock was a good manager, but he didn't want to be here, no point in bringing him up every time a result goes against us.

We lost away to a team chasing a play off spot, hardly surprising is it?

Roll on next season.................................

Just been to the game.

2 goals- again both from set pieces, when are we going to learn to defend these?

All inall we looked clueless. As soon as Brighton equalised heads went down and at 2-1 we looked like a side that was holding onto a 1-0.

If Malpas sees his contract out we will end up in the conference.
