Rovers approached Swindon late last week with a view to sharing the ground: Western Daily Press today.

If we'd accepted this first time around I could have seen Fulham play at the County Ground this season  Sad

it would all depend on the financial renumeration .... if they pay enough to cover the potential damage to the stadium by Rovers fans and extra pitch maintenance money

it would have to be a big sum ... no one would just say no straight off ... you have to examine it .. Fitton knows what he is doing and Im sure he will make the right decision

Not after the way their moron fans behave everytime they come to town.  Defo no for me.  We are losing revenue because of those knob jockeys, the police have over reacted since the flying chair match, why because of the gash heads.

Local residents would not be happy about this surely.  They were all moaning about the police shutting a couple of roads after the last match they were hear.

I'm torn.

On one hand, my memories of the Inn on the Green incident are still quite fresh.  I never want to witness anything like that again.

On the other, I don't want to tar all Rovers fans with the same brush.  Have to say that I also find myself a little less in opposition to the idea now that I know the proceeds of such an arrangement would not be heading to Newbury.

Not this again  :x I have already sent the Western Press my comments, I would really hope Mr Fitton and Co have more sense than to get involved in any groundshare with Rovers it would be madness to think its a good idea.

Most Rovers fans are ordinary, decent people (OK a bit of a contradiction in terms). But there is always the potential for a few of the nuckle draggers to screw things up.

It's a shame to tar them all with the same brush. But no thanks. For exactly the same reasons as last time.

Its irrelevant how much money we get . We have our own moron minority as do rovers and it will be mayhem every week at the ground .

Fitton & co are doing a rebuilding job and trying to get the Swindon public to embrace the club again and by sharing the ground I cant see how it will happen .

Local residents will oppose it

Leaving aside the possibility of actual violence, local residents and businesses made it pretty clear last time they would be opposed due to the disruption that would be caused by the not just the increased traffic but also likely police measures due to the potential for violence.

Don't be fooled, most Rovers fans are scum. They have got a big hooligan problem. They are quite old skool, as in even their shirters have a tendancy to cause trouble. We don't want them anywhere near our club.

And its worth noting before we all get too overexcited about this that this is just really Wovers have asked the question and our board have discussed it. Which is a long way off from entertaining the idea seriously. An early and public no would be reassuring though, to the town as well as the fans. Maybe a statement from the club along the lines of what tans said above would sum it up nicely?  Cheesy
