The evidence of which football club they decided to take over might suggest otherwise.

I knew that the current board would ask for full compensation figures ... that scared Rovers off Smiley

Surprise surprise, Danny Coles was involved again!

Not the first time he's suffered facial injuries this season, you'd think he'd be less keen to get involved in the naughty stuff when he keeps on getting hurt?!

Good. It had to be a good deal for us if we were to even think about it tbh.

On one hand, my memories of the Inn on the Green incident are still quite fresh.  I never want to witness anything like that again.

On the other, I don't want to tar all Rovers fans with the same brush.

Most Rovers fans are ordinary, decent people (OK a bit of a contradiction in terms). But there is always the potential for a few of the nuckle draggers to screw things up.

It's a shame to tar them all with the same brush. But no thanks. For exactly the same reasons as last time.

I work in Bristol and know a lot of Rovers and City fans, and on the whole, most are decent, normal human beings. It really is terribly unfair to tar every Rovers fan as a hooligan. Rightly, those involved in the incidents at the CG and the Inn on the Green are tagged as being violent scumbags, but frankly they are small minority of the fanbase.

I was chatting about this subject with a Rovers fan today. He didn't really know what was happening, but we did both agree we'd like to torch Ashton Gate  Soapy Tit Wank

However I agree with the majority on here that it would be a really bad idea to let this happen.

The latest news is that the developers for Rovers new stadium have pulled out (Cowling Construction, their shirt sponsors).

So, not only have they still not secured a venue to play next season, but they still don't have anyone to build their new stadium either.

The thing is with Rovers it has been all talk with regards their stadium redevelopment for years and years now. They keep forgeting the one major problem - they don't have the money to pay for it
