Fair do's. It's only going to be a quiet one or two if you change your mind.

i dont think there's much point getting in players now.we wont be going up, and it gives opportunity for malpas to look at what he has. then he can plan for next season, in which he should be looking to mount a serious attempt to get promoted.

Agree on that. Easton and Allen in the middle for now is ok - I've liked what I've seen of Allen.
But if the player in question would improve the squad for next season, may as well give it a shot. Otherwise, play one of the new 'pro's'

While there is still that outside chance of the play-off's (We won't make it) then we would be silly not to at least try and get there.
I'd suggest the young pro's are probably not quite good enough for L1 football as yet but those that do have the potential will need to be introduced gradually to get them used to the regours of L1 football.
We have needed a play maker type player for quite sometime, this is the only type of player we should be getting in that should be able to improve what we have got, and remember we have Peacock out for 3/4 games suspended with the only cover available either JPM or Sofi who are wide players.

Who's to say what's on offer is better than what we have?
Some people need a reality check, I'm sure Malpas has tried, he's even said in the papers he has been trying to get a creative midfielder.

A creative central midfielder who is not a totally liability on the defensive part of his game is fairly hard to come by for a mid table league 1 side I'd imagine.

unless the loan player is top notch then i dont see much point in bringing one in tbh. Chances are he wont play much , and will just be a drain on wages. The loan window don't shut untill the end of march anway, so its not the greatest hurry in the world

There's no point just bringing somebody in for the sake of it. It can't be easy to find a creative midfield player that a) we want b) we can afford c) will play for us d) has a club who will let him play for us

Well we need one now with Chris Allen getting injured, there is no partner for Easton with Peacock out, unless of course Malpas decides to blood one of the youngsters...I don't see he has a lot of choice really, I think he is going to have to take a risk on a loan player

I would say for this season it would be best to give a few youngsters a taste of first team action. It's rare to have a season where you are safe, don't really expect to reach the play offs anyway and have an opportunity thanks to injuries and suspensions to give the youth a go without pissing off the first teamer.
