Well if thats true it's a big shame.

He would have got forward and given the strikers some good balls yesterday.

Zaaboub, Roberts, McGovern, Sturrock, Corr, Smith and maybe even Paynter will all be surplus to requirements for next season.

McNamee I feel will improve, the others are just ordinary average Division One/Two players.

Just survive this season then clear out the surplus and build a team around the strength the spine of the team - Brezovan, Ifil, Ajofree, Peacock, Easton, Cox

Thats absolutely rediculous. How can you want to get rid of half the team that was good enough 5 weeks ago. Theres no way Malpas can bring in players of the quality you are suggesting letting go.

McGovern, Corr, Smith and Paynter will all stay. Without exception.

Were people not around in january or what? We were playing really well. Best Ive seen for ages.

We should spend on a manager who brings in his own backroom staff. Malpas is a waste of time.

I've posted before, that I think the problem is that the management structure isn't working out...Fitton put it in place, so its his job to sort it out.

i hope dell is right.
because if he is, it will mean money would have been invested in better players than those he mentions.

hoping he is right, and thinking he is, are two different matters mind.

I haven't seen as many games this season as you DV, what I've seen of Paynter is he is  OK, but that is it OK.

not trawling the thread so sorry if i'm going over old ground.

ref was shit, missed stuff for us but also missed a blatant pen from ifil in the second half.
comminges could play a higher level than this.
roberts had a decent game,as did paynter.
smith was a shadow of the keeper i know.
overall we had the better chances, the only reason they were not shots on target was down to player faults.the chances were there.
like the look of the new cb as he deffo has something about him.
town end looked idiots singing your support is fucking shit to leeds.
poor atmosphere for a big crowd.
loads of leeds in home areas.most were blatantly obvious as they had scarves and club wear on.well done stewards NOT!
saw a few scuffles pre match, and that was quite entertaining.

think we might have won if the midfield had balance.allen has the touch but is too weak.easton is not a right mid!
right substitution, but to late morris!

I was going to write my own summary of the game, but arriba's post pretty much covers most of the points I was going to make. I didn't see any trouble though, in fact I was chatting to a few Leeds fans in the Merlin and it was all very friendly stuff.

I sat in the Nationwide Wing nearest the Town End, and the atmosphere in there (apart from one mongloid pisshead) was like a morgue. Bunch of plastic prawn sandwicher's out for the day because Leeds were once a big club.....

I'd like to pick an issue with anyone who had an issue with Roberts yesterday. IMO, and its all about opinions, he played extremely well yesterday. His set piece delivery was poor, but most times he got the ball to feet and ran at Kenton, he was a threat. If he could add some end product to that endeavour, he'd be a hell of an asset in this division. He was definitely struggling at the end though. And he doesn't have a left foot, so why play him on the left???

And the goal was clearly onside. I was right in line with Kandol when he made contact and he was definitely on. Generally though the ref was a spazzer, so fuck off back to the Premiership Mr Foy.

Oh, and onions on the hotdogs in the Nationwide Sussex  Wink
