Im happy because instead of doing what Swindon do best and cutting a 2-0 lead to 2-1, we pushed on and made it 3-0, haven't seen that much in recent times tbh. Well done lads Clap

Good shout.

Am I right in thinking that Cheltenham where in good form before tonight?

Where they bad or did we make them look bad?

I guess we need to wait for the views of those that where there to find out.
They were in decent form but they ain't all that good. Results tonight pull them right down into the mixer

According to my 'sauces' they were awful against Brissle Rovers last week but brilliant in the 2nd half against Brighton (scoring twice in injury time to come back from 1-0 down). In fact they've been inconsistent all season.

You could be dead right - shame it wasn't the 95 million euro lottery last week.  Still we won so I'm bloody chuffed at the mo.

Well, we got better the more the game on. Could have been 1-0 down in the first minute again but for a brez save and a scrambled clearance.

Paynter had a good game and scored a good goal. Started to blow out his arse for the last 10 mins he was on, but otherwise excellent.

Cox worked hard and nicked the first (and important) goal.

Mcnamee was Macnamanofthematch for me. Lively, took players on,  got some dangerous crosses in - whilst still not 100% match fit.

Dodgy clearance saw Brez launch superman style across his goal as the ball headed towards the unguarded net. Not Brez's best game actually.

Oh, and Corr (sicknote)  came on. Slipped and fucked his shoulder again . Went off, but I think Malpas must have told him to get on with it, came back on with dodgy soulder. :-))(

Cheltenham jinx, what Cheltenham jinx. They were shit at the back, low on confidence and only had Booker up front - and he faded. They are in for a tough relegation battle, because whilst this was no vintage Swindon performance they are shite.

what batch said....but also.

Pook was good, we got the usual hussle and bussle out of him but his distribution was very good today.

JPM was very good as well tonight, calm on the ball, hard working, defensive and some very good crossing. We've missed him wide right alot the last couple of games

Very impressed and thought work ethic was superb today.

Cox - Never stopped.  What a great signing.

Paynter - Worked his socks off and glad hes back on the scoresheet for confidence.  Him and Cox should start on Saturday without doubt.

MacNamee - Pretty much every ball he put in the box was decent.  Took players on and looked lively.  Definitely a positive signing.

Peacock - worked hard as usual

Pook - Thought he did very well today.  Thought a lot about what he did before he did it and impressed me.  Good reception when he was subbed and well deserved.

JP - Has to stay permanently on the wing as far more beneficial there and plays well with Commingues.

Vincent - Pretty solid as usual

Ifil - distribution still needs work but solid as ever

Hasney - solid, did his job

Commingues - Looked a bit away with the fairies in the 1st half but Ill put that down to tiredness for playing 3 games in a week and flying overseas etc.  All in all, far play to the lad for  putting the shirt on and working hard for 90 mins as usual.  Definitely turned out to be a gem.

Brez - Didnt have much to do.

My thoughts...

Pleased with our strikers, thought they always looked a threat, as did McNamee who looks class.

Pook looked very decent in patches, certainly more involved than Peacs who was at least solid.

JPM out right gives us more width, I'd have to disagree with DV and say I thought his final ball was generally poor - Miguel put some wonderfful crosses in, really whipped in with pace. He looks so much better with JPm ahead of him though.

Brez and Vincent were a bit worrying at times. For a keeper whose handling is generally OK I wish Brez would catch the ball, his punching is pretty crap, I guess he's afraid of getting clattered again.

A good 3 points against a team who looked half decent going forward, they gifted us 2 goals (note the first one, JPM still hit it straight at the defender and it rebounded to cox) from which they were never going to recover. We'll have to play better to get something in Nottingham on Sat though.

Can I also say that I wish the Prem players that bang on constantly about being knackered and having to play too much would just shut the hell up.

If Miguel can do it and work as hard as he does then they (on God knows how much more a salary) can as well.
