To be fair, Sheffield United probably have a point.

The problem is Nemo, they didn't have enough points last year, end of.

Bloody hell why don't we sue the Football league for 1990.  Let it go, move on.  I hope Sheff Utd get no where with this kind of action.

Because we finished bottom by a long way, not third from bottom only separated from fourth from bottom by goal difference, where most of the goals that made up that difference were scored or created by a player that was signed through an illegal deal.

Sheff U would have surived last season if Rob Hulse hadn't been injured for most of it. As a club they didn't really have the money to sign a decent replacement for him in the January window. If they'd known that clubs would be allowed to get away with signing players through third party deals with only a fine, then they might have brought someone in to score the goals to keep them up. But as far as they were concerned such deals were illegal.

They stuck to the rules, West Ham didn't, therefore it wasn't a level playing field. If it had been us thet got relegated that way you'd still be whining about it now.

No I wouldn't.  I don't see any point in dragging the past up, just take it on the chin an move on, life's too short to whine.

And they are still banging on about it, convenient it coincides with a rubbish run of results however I really cannot see the points re-instated.

The court should rule in favour of the league, call Bates a cunt and deduct another 15 off them not taking their punishment in a sporting manner!

Or just tell them to fuck off out of the league if they don't like it.

Somehow I don't see a High Court judge leaning down and solemnly intoning "Mr Bates, having considered the matter and given due weight to the representations presented to this court, it is our considered opinion that you are, in a judicially binding sense, a cunt. The court therefore orders you to do one, forthwith". But I'd pay good money to see it if he did

Further evidence the judicial system is outdated and out of touch.

Leeds' form since Christmas....DLLDLWWLLD
9 points from 10 games...I'd call that relegation form.

Swindon's form since Christmas....LDWDWDDDW
14 points from 9 games...Play-off form (or there abouts)

And Leeds think them coming to "grace" the County Ground will be our cup final?? For this reason alone they should not have the points reinstated  Cheesy
