I am off to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday i turned down tickets for sat as i thought we'd be playing rovers or fulham  as for last nights game.spurs were exellent and deserved to win in the manner they did.but and its a big but.they wanted it more and were desperate for the victory. their first available 11 played both games.arsenal used the cup competition to give the younger players big game experience.hardly a team and manager desperate to win the trophy.dress it up all you like ben wah balls most of the first team didnt start the game.the keeper, one of the centre backs, the left back, all the midfield bar 1,and both strikers were fringe players.arse were poor for sure, but spurs getting carried away like they have is a bit ott.maybe credit should be given to arsenal for getting as far as they do each year in the competition with fringe players? it teaches wenger alot about his squad imo

It was a competitive game and if Wenger sends teams out not strong enough to win a game then he's a bit of a cunt. Well done to Spurs.

Of the starting lineup there was
Gallas Sagna Diaby Gilberto Hleb Bendtner (of late)
Who are always in or around the regular matchday 16, and Fabregas played most of the game also. I'd say that a 5-1 mauling of this lot is a good result.

True and Fabregas also played for 75 minutes and Adebayor and Eduardo played from 65 minutes on, Arsenal played a strong team and were obviously trying to win, they just weren't good enough.

I guess Spurs wanted it more, it's probably their only route into Europe this year whereas Arsenal are all but gauranteed a Champs League spot.
Still a great performance and result for Spurs, and Arsenal fans must be gutted however much they say they're not interested in the Carling Cup.
It was a great spectacle after the recent FA cup matches screened by the beeb.

Agreed, Spurs deserved to go through as they were the better side in both legs IMO. Keane and Berbatov are both forming one hell of a partnership at the moment, shame Berbatov will be off in the summer.

Do you still qualify for UEFA by winning the Carling?? Yes you do, so if Chelski get through Spurs will definitely be in Europe. Obviously as a neutral though I want Everton as it would be great to see Spurs v Everton final with 2 teams that have won nothing in ages go all out for glory.

nope, that's wrong, only the cup winners qualify for the uefa cup. if the winner also qualified for the champion's league then their uefa spot goes to the next best placed league team.
see; fa cup finalists millwall and southampton.
