Strong rumour? It was just an anonymous text saying it was someone from within the club! Sounds like rubbish to me. No it is true. And fitton said 3 years to get to the championship he will be lucky to get there when malpas takes over poor poor decision if true.

Never heard of him.
Can anyone think of any other managers called Maurice?
WTF is he 90 or something?
We are Maurice's Red and White Army!
Oooh jeez will it never end!!!!!! It has to be said it's more the kind of name you'd associate with a dodgy french mime artist than a gritty 3rd tier football manager.

That fact no manager in the club's history with the first name of Maurice or the surname of Malpas has ever got us promoted within 3 years???

Right....Maurice (as in Maurice Greene) has a degree, so was probably able to connect with AF, on an intellectual level....plus he can move straight into Sturrock's old gaffe which will have tipped the balance.

The good news (If this is true) is that the usual moany bastards will still have something to moan about If he does get the job I'll wait until he's either proved himself, or otherwise, before I start going off on one. (P.S Is it true that some people call him the space cowboy, while others call him the gangster of love?)

Aye, well if he's Scotch that's usually the first qualification for a decent manager. The nice thing is he's an unknown prospect (of sorts) while most candidates have usually been on the old managerial... http://solarider.org/my-pics/merry-go-round-16-12-2005.jpga few times. I can see Ling becoming more unlikely given the interviews have taken place and nothing having been leaked to press, especially were Hearn is concerned. What are you trying to say there Dazzzzza? Ooh! Ooh! Let me guess! Managerial....wooden horse Managerial.....fun fair ride Managerial.....spinning around up and down type thing Oh I give up :? Managerial - merry-go-round! Whoever first coined that phrase deserves a pint.

Does Malpas translate from French to be "Bad Step" ?
Possibly prophetic.
