during saturday's game i managed to find the time to notice that the club had removed the "e-on" (fa cup sponsor) adverts from behind the goals, but hadn't bothered clustering the remaining hoardings back up together as they were previously, so we now have big empty un-populated advertising hoardings behind each goal.

pure laziness.

but on the bright side, the areas around the corner flags are now very well marketed.

I was thinking it might be nice to put our money where our mouth is and have a TEF advertising hoarding if the deal goes through.Unless they are silly money then fuck it. Cheesy

we're talking £'000s here.

pitch side adverts are worth more to the club than shirt sponsorship.

I'm sure given time to asses the club then the marketing dept will be strengthend considerably by Fitton & Co as this is one area that we have been consistently crap in getting sponsorship etc

I suspect that Sarah will be left on her own though for a while as I would have thought Ben Lambert will be on the dole queue come Tuesday !!!

maybe. not anymore it isn't.

but, for example, you can pay and have the club sort out the actual hoarding, or pay less and provide it yourself.

I think they should get rid of the hoardings and dig an enormous deep moat around the pitch. Now it may sound silly, but players will fall in alot, which will be fun and in the summer, you could watch the football aboard a lilo. Could also provide extra revenue during the close season.

I'm liking this idea....could be a bit like the pools they had in the West Indies for the cricket world cup.

Could be linked in with the plan to restore the Wilts and Berks canal, and be used as a mooring for narrow boats.

Had Killer Kilcline still been playing he could have lived at the CG rather than Lechlade.
