There's nothing in the Gazette as it stands today (unless I've missed it). If it was filed last Friday then we won't know until the 21st....what a lovely Christmas present that would be.

There's a possibility this could be true .....from the Government site...
No earlier than 7 working days after the petition is served on the company, but at least 7 working days before the hearing, the petitioner must advertise notice of the petition (Form 4.6) in the London Gazette. This enables other interested parties to inform the petitioner that they wish to attend the hearing, and whether they wish to support or oppose the petition.
So that would mean it would have to be posted in the Gazette not earlier than Friday

On the positive side, wouldn't a wup potentially kick some backsides to get the club sold. And what happened to all that jazz about a judge not going to wind up a company while there was still a viable take-over option.

Sounds like a wind up to me. If we are being wound up then why on earth would Andy Fitton still be holding talks? I saw that post on thisis and thought "Well back it up then innit", and he couldn't. I shan't be losing any sleep over that tosser tonight, and it is WAY past my bedtime time so goodnight all.

We only ever get WUP's after Sandy has told an AGM that all payments are up to date,

Oh, and after reading that post again, he calls it the "Swindon Advertiser".
Iv'e always known it the evening advertiser or even "The adver".
He ain't from Swindon, my bet is that he is a pox fan on a wind up.

I wouldn't be surprised that HMRC has issued a WUP on Friday, as we all thought as Fitton had pulled out of a deal the previous day, and that it was just a matter of time before they did so.
