you just know if the takeover goes thru, folk are gonna whinge like fuck if Fitton gets a new manager in that aint top of our wish list.
But FFS, beggars can't be choosers and given our current predicament, lets just get behind whoever it is.....PLEASE (yes that includes Allen or even Byrne/Williams)
We all like something to moan about from time to time, and we've flogged this saga to death so far this season, so lets make a New Years resolution to be as positive as poss eh?
I thank you

Ummmm bit of a presumptuous post don't you think?
I see where your coming from but I think we would have every right to moan about Byrne & Williams as they aren't what we need. And we need a man the fans can unite behind which certainly aint Allen so I also think we'd have cause to be annoyed if he was appointed. Probably won't get our first choices but either of those appointments are no go areas.

Well what if we can get a plan B with SSW and Diamandis still here, but with the manager we want?

And down the years we've had people like King & McMahon who had zero people skills and upset alot of supporters, Allen would do that again and cause more arguments. I maintain my point that neither of those appointments should even be considered.

if as i suspect the takeover still doesn't happen.we will stumble along with byrne and williams in charge.we will slide down the league and our injuries and suspensions will further halt any progress on the pitch. basiclally without the board stepping aside we is fucked dudes. if fitton does get control mad dog would be a good boss imo. and i'm sure he'd get him or another half decent manager in

If the takeover doesn't happen, don't worry about stumbling on, we will have a matter of weeks before we're put out of our misery permanently. If it does, the most important thing is going to be the massive task of rebuilding the club, with the first goal being financial stability. Make no mistake, this club is a total mess from top to bottom - it's a hell of a job to do that rebuilding and jimbob's right Fitton will need and deserve our support in doing that.

If you guys had got off your arses and joined the few of us that bothered to go to Southend, you would have seen fans united in singing about the future of the club, you would have seen some good player selection and tactics (yes, it seemed risky but it worked so fair play), and you would have genuinely felt for the players, and for Byrne and Williams who deserved more from a game against a decent side.
Not saying taht Byrne is the long term solution, but rushing into a decision and e,ploying somebody shite and affordable seems stupid to me when we can cling to the hope that the takeover might still go through.

Agree completely - but also somewhere as a pretty high priority there needs to be a way to rejoin all the "factions" into one again as well ..... the Supporters Club, the Trust, the silent non-believers, the stayaways (some for a few seasons now) and all the various fencesitters.... oh and of course the busybodies too !! Perhaps the first stage along the way could be an organised celebration/party atmosphere for the first home game after the takeover is finally announced as totally complete (always assuming it happens cos if it doesn't then we are finished). Perhaps the adver/BBC/Western Daily .... and yes sod it even Brunel if they feel they are up to it ... could help by getting involved?
