Nobody but the creditors can tell you that Dan.
If HMRC decide on Monday to come get their debts, then it'll be 2 weeks max from then.
I take your point. Equally, we don't have the money to get in the sort of managers you'd like.

ok, probably too logical....but use a % of the wages we would have been paying Sturrock to finance a new managers?!
By all accounts we were paying Sturrock quite well? (or we were supposed to be paying...)

if the takeover doesn't go through, we won't survive until the end of the season, so what difference does it make?

no. i doubt anyone knows for a fact what will happen over the next week either.
the priority must be the survival of the club in it's current form and whoever is in charge of the first team will make no difference whatsoever to whether we continue to exist or not

I'll keep my knackers crossed that Fitton wins the battle with the cunts in Ramsbury and Newbury first and foremost. If he takes over the club I think we could do a lot worse than have Byrne and Williams being in charge, albeit temporrarily. The Carlisle result and performance on Tuesday night was an extreme crock of shit. A couple of seconds less on the refs watch today though would have brought a well deserved point home. That they had the bottle to drop players today and draft in new blood demonstrates to me that Byrne and Williams have their own ideas on how the game should be played and who's best to wear the red shirts on the day. They possibly also have the all important respect of the players, as you don't get a performance like that shown today at Southend if your considered an arsehole manager by the players. I agree with the possible Iffy Onouara nightmare scenario worries, but I think Byrne and Williams should be given a few games more to prove themselves (or otherwise) even if a new manager is quietly lined up to take control behind the scenes.

Well they say there are only two things are certain in life & that is Death & taxes. Taxes, being one off the things that STFC are behind on, makes it a bloody near certainty.

I think the point Reevesy was making went straight over your pretty little heads. Thankyou Si! Atleast somebody got the idea! I'm not trying to paint a picture of me being the most die hard fan on here - I'm nowhere near it and don't clai to be. I was just pissed off that less than 400 people bothered to go. Wasn't aimed at anybody in particular as plenty of people have good reasons not to go. And yes Sonic, I live in London so am closer than most but I probably would have gone from Swindon. Oh and when you deduct my accomodation from my student loan, I'm currently living on about -£15 a week. Hardly helping me watch Swindon is it

FWIW, the most important thing, IMHO, is that the takeover happens. If we get relegated due to the protracted takeover and a possible points deduction, it'll be disappointing, but not half as disappointing as no club next season. And all this talk of who's the best supporter is invalid, as it's obvious I am

I think you/we are all very fickle supporters. Maverick is No. 1 he never misses a game. I don't think I'm fickle, the only time I don't go to games is when I can't afford it. If the team is playing shite I still go. But there are a lot of casual supporters who only go when the team are doing well, or it's a big game. At the end of the day some people actually have an interesting and varied life away from STFC and good for them. (Un)fortunately I'm not one of them
