it said in one of the papers at the weekend that reading, middlesbrough & sunderland were interested in him (news of the world?). add to that portsmouth, burnley, fulham, sheff united & the countless other teams that have been mentioned & we could get a good bit of money if they all start bidding? not that the manager will see any of it.
didnt burnley buy akinbiyi though? and count 'boro out because the papers say they are interested in every player going.

Who gives a shit where he goes. As long as we get a decent fee for him. Once gone he is forgotten in my book. I just hope it's later rather than sooner.

Once gone he is forgotten in my book. Bit harsh considering he's scored 20+ goals in the past three seasons, I'll follow his career until he retires tbh.

Yeah I think there are a few players that you can support when they have gone, Parkin being one Fjortoft being another. Always like tpo see Johnny Moncur do well once he'd left us, Digby... I won't be forgetting SSP for a while, he's done a heel of a lot for our club.

PM would you move to Grimsby for double you're wage? Erm yeah, I probably would. Wouldnt be my prefered destination, but as long as the mrs was alright about it I'd be off. I'd be a bit of a fool not to, its not like Swindon is that great really is it?

No but moving a way from family and friends, it's a big sacrifice. Like you say as long as you're ok with it and your mrs is ok with it fair play. If a London company came in for you, on a improved deal but not as good as the Grimsby one wouldn't you just go there? I think I would. All hypothetical I know.

A mate of mine is a QPR fan and reckons they'll buy him for money plus Furlong. I believed him at the time but I went to watch QPR v Gills and Furlong is still too good for us and is worshipped by their fans. They wouldn't be able to match other clubs offers but a swap deal involving Cureton isn't too far fetched

yeah cureton would surely be the player we got. they've got all sorts of quality upfront so i'd welcome any of them, i've always had a bit of a soft spot for QPR. if i could choose a club for him to go to outside the prem it would be there. i'd hope we gave him a SUPER SAM on his return

I've always had a soft spot for QPR too, especially since the away game at theirs last season, very impressed with their set up, and fans. If Sam goes that'd be my preferred destination for him.

I think it'd be Sam's preferred destination as well, so we're all happy
