Cant say where I got this from but a reliable source has informed me Parkin is going to QPR in the summer, I say fair play its the club he supports and if we get a decent fee thats ok with me.

Yea, it would be a good move for him and then he would be playing in a higher division. He will never move to a club in this division. Hopefully we wud get a tidy sum.

I would welcome the choice of club from SSP and wish him all the best if your source is telling the truth.  Until it happens though I'm sure he'll remain 110% STFC.

The Western Daily Press today named Burnley as another interested party.

I just can't see Sam moving up north.  Surely he'd welcome a move to a London championship side?  As for a player exchange that'd be a huge possibility I'd say.

I'm fearing a massive disappointment in the amount we get for SSP...

It was Burnley who made a bid on transfer dealine day. Remains to be seen if they will continue thier interest in the summer and if Parkin is interested in moving up north.

I'm not so sure he's be against a move up north if they doubled his wages.

But every week in his column he's always going on about going out on the town with his Brother and mates, I honestly think if he was up for a move a London club would come in for him and be able to match Burnley's offer.  Now if a northern premiership club came in for him....

I know what you mean Jan, but if no matching offer is forthcoming from a london club I still think he'd be on his way.

making a comparasson to myself, I dont want to move up north either but if someone doubled my wages for doing the same job I'd be off.

Thats the first time I've been compared to SSP, even by myslef Cheesy

Seems unlikely they are brassed and (see other post) have to raise season tickets by 50% for next season so they can make monthly payments of £80,000 covering the interest alone.

What may be in their favour is Mark Devlin who will know the inside outs of his contract and may find a loophole to exploit.

At any rate at least King is making noises at attempting to get him to extend his current deal.
