Bobby Gould would be my choice. I can't believe he's not been mentioned already.

Dr Josef Venglos would get my vote, he's only 71, known as the slovak Peter Pan (by me).  He could share with Petr Brezovan, they could sit up late at night singing each other slovak folk songs.

Here's a clip of the great man in action

That's the worst thing about this situation if PS does go.  That interim period of having Williams back in charge.  He'll probably go on a 72 hour bender to celebrate the good news. Wink

He's be the bestest most loyal manager and you'd know it. I don't think he'll get the job though. Hopefully England will be appointing him.

my vote would go for Nijholt, wanted him in when Sturrock came in the first place.

no one has mentioned John Gregory yet - currently without a club. not sure he'd be any good though. anyone but martin allen!

To throw a few more names in the hat what about Steve Staunton / Gary Macalister / Mike Newell / Billy Davies (would he drop to this level ?) / Paul Simpson (ex Wycombe / Carlisle)

Personally I'd prefer either Newell or Simpson as I think they would be loyal and have experience...although I thought that of Sturrock
